Monitor recommendations

What do you recommend me to buy 1 monitor 24 inch or 2 19 inch ? they would have the same price ~ 400 - 500 with the warranty . Also which brand and why ? I am between
1) samsung -
2) HP
3) dell

appreciate it
 
Do you have any special applications with dual monitor?
24" lcd can support 1080p hd movie and I recommend samsung or philips.
 
since I am a programmer and use a lot of application , I was between taking 2 19 inch or 24 which may be same . I used to work on 2 17 inch , but I don't know how programming would be in 1 24 ?

do the samsung have height adjust ?
 
since you used to work on dual monitors I can believe dual monitors are more suit you.
24" is in higher resolution but however it cant display more contents than dual...
height adjust?you mean its bracket?as I know parts of them can adjust the height but all of them can adjust the angle.
 
some monitors have this height adjust stand , where u can move then up and down to your eye view . The problem now as I see with buying 2 monitors is that there will be warranty service for 2 instead of 1 ? :confused:
 
I'd go for the 24" monitor just cause if you get any HD movies or videos, even games, can be played at 1080p. but that's just me, dual monitors can be a pain sometimes I've found, so I prefer single monitors.
