Monitor Recommendations

My wife just started a new job and the company gave her a Dell Latitude E7250. They are also providing her with a docking station and keyboard. But coming from the Mac Thunderbolt side, she definitely wants a monitor. Looking for a suggestion for one that will work with the Dell. Probably needs a built-in camera as well since video conferencing might happen. Anywhere from 24 to 27 inch and looking to spend up to $400.

I guess I need help because the more I read the more I'm confused. I see on other threads the discussion around 1440 vs 1080 vs 1220. And 2ms vs 4ms. Just not sure. I'm not afraid to buy a little more than needed, but then I don't know if the laptop will be able to handle it. This monitor will be used mostly for emails, Office software, and occasionally streaming like Netflix. Again thanks for assistance.

For what you are using it for, really doesn't matter what it has. 2ms vs 4ms is a for gaming response anyway. You may be limited on the resolution on the external vga port though. Thinking I wouldn't go higher than a 24" monitor.

The dock probably has HDMI ;)

OK, got it about the size and yes, I'm sure the docking station will have HDMI. But two other questions; are Asus and Acer still among the more popular and what do you think would be the best resolution that the computer could handle?
