Monitor Resolution Issue

Hi, I am running dual monitors. I have them both set at 1600x900 but the monitor on the left still looks stretched and disproportioned and when going through the monitor menu, shows it is set at 1024x768. They are both the same monitors, not sure why I cannot change the resolution to 1600x900.

The first pic shows the left monitor, picture looks stretched. Second pic is of the right monitor, how it should be. Both monitors shows set at 1600x900 but obviously the one on the left isn't.

I had eventually managed to set the monitor to 1600x900, but there are black empty space on the top and right of the screen, the bottom taskbar is also cut off. Manually adjusting the position does not help as it will not move up far enough. Pressing the auto button or resetting it also does not help.
