I have a Pentium III IBM NetVista computer which was working three days ago. When i put it on yesterday, the monitor screen was blank/black, such that i could not see the post. I did series of trouble shooting on it and this is what i noticed.
----Power Unit and fan of Computer was On
----Motherboard light was On
----CPU fan was On
----Monitor Power light was On, but red in color, eventhough monitor cable was plugged into the VGA
----When the Monitor was tested with a another System Unit, it displayed the POST
----The computer in context is using an On-board VGA. I assumed that the On-board VGA is not working and so,
----A working VGA card was plugged into an expansion slot, but still cannot display anything on monitor screen.
Can anybody please help me fix this problem
