Monitor suddenly turns black

so i was playing a game and then suddenly it turns off saying there is no connection go to power save etc and everything is connected and i can still hear the music on the game so i dont know its the pc or the monitor plz help

It's definetly the computer, probably the video card. It could be a driver issue, maybe too little power, or just a bad video card.

I'd start by trying to upgrade the drivers... Telling us a few specs of your computer and the game that's messing up kind of helps, too...
