Monitor troubles

My monitor condenses the image towards the sides of the screen...i recently changed my refresh rate to 100Hz from 60Hz...would this have anything to do with it?
The monitor is a LG Flatron 795FT 19"

Some Flatrons have that problem. Try to move the screen in opposite way in your video card settings and then center the image using the monitor's menu.

i dont really know what that involves...i set it to 85Hz and its sorted it.

85 Hz is enough, no need to stress the monitor with higher refresh rates.
