Monitor USB input

I have USB inputs on monitor,but they do now work, do I have to install on configure something? Thanx for answers.
 
Traditionally there's a USB cable you run from the monitor to a USB port on the PC, and then it allows you to connect a couple peripherals to the monitor.

I believe Displayport 1.2 can also carry USB over the DP link, what monitor are you using?
