Monitor-Video Card DVI or VGA Question

I have a NVIDIA 8800GTS Card Here is a link: http://www.evga.com/products/moreinfo.asp?pn=320-P2-N815-AR&family=23
I am going to get a VGA to component box so I can play my PS2 on my computer monitor. My monitor has both DVI and VGA inputs, however my graphics card only has DVI. I realize that I have to get a adaptor to convert the VGA to DVI so it can connect to my card. But, my question is should i connect the VGA cable from the VGA/Component Box to the VGA port on my monitor, or should I buy another adapter to connect the VGA cable to the monitor in the DVI port.

Thanks in advance!

It doesn't really matter whether you use an adapter or not, its not going to stuff up. As long as you got the input and output right you should be fine.

I don't exactly understand what you're saying, maybe I worded it wrong.

Graphics Card with a DVI Port--DVI to VGA Adapter--VGA Cable to Box-Box to VGA Cable--VGA Cable to VGA Port on Monitor
OR
VGA Cable to DVI Port on Monitor with a VGA to DVI Adapter

Which solution would give me better quality?

Are you saying you want to hook you PS2 up to your monitor via vga/dvi? If so it's gonna look like crap. :(

I tried playing twilight princess on my monitor (stupid i know) and it looked nasty..
