monitor/video card suggestions

Hello,
I’m new to this forum and I was hoping to get some advice on a new monitor and video card.
The size monitor that I am looking for is a 22’’ or 23’’. I’ve been looking at the Dell 23‘’model SP2309W. I’m guessing if I do get this monitor I will need to upgrade my video card.
I am currently using a Dell XPS 400 with an Intel Pentium D CPU 3.20 GHz with an NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX.
Any suggestions on monitors (quality/clarity)? Any recommendations on video cards?

Go with the 22". It's the more standard size, and it's plenty big.

That'll give you a resolution of 1680x1050 or so, and for the price, it'd be hard to beat the Radeon 4850 right now. That's run things beautifully until you go to 1920x1200 or something. Then again, the kind of PSU you have could limit your options. Do you know the PSU specs?
