im making a new computer and i think im either gonna get an oversized monitor or hook my computer up to a new TV. which ever i get i want to be able to both watch cable tv on and use it for my computer. a friend of mine has a 27'' monitor which gave me the idea however he doesnt have it hooked up as a TV.
so i guess my questions are:
should i get an over sized monitor or hook up a DLP TV to my computer?
which ever i get is there a switch i can get so i have it hooked up to both my computer and the cable outlet? and if so will i have to get up and switch it every time i want to move from computer to TV, or can i hide it somewhere and have a remote for it?
how do the "TV Tuners & Video Devices" (saw on newegg.com) work, can i get cable tv with them through my cable company or is there some other service i need for that to work. Will i be able to get the digital channels we got on another TV or would i still need to get another cable box if i want those?
currently im looking at getting 2 of these video cards running SLI will it be able to run a TV at HD quality?
in short whats the best way to use a monitor/tv as both a monitor and tv. id prefer to use a DLP TV if i can.
