Monitor with DB9 port

Hello!

I just moved into an apartment in which the previous owner left me a tv on the wall. As soon as I was going to connect it to my computer I discovered the tv doesn't have HDMI, nor VGA, but only a DB9 port.
As my computer does not have a DB9 port the solution would be to buy some kind of adapter.
Would a USB to DB9 adapter, and a cable that goes between the adapter and the tv, work for the purpose of watching movies on the tv screen? If not, what other choices do I have?

What kind of TV is this? Is this just a standard definition CRT?

its a serial port, not for video output. so whatever that thing is...it wont do anything...snakeoil at best DO NOT BUY.

Anything other than DB9 such as component or composite? Generally an RS-232 connection on a television is there for firmware updates and the like. A Manufacturer/model would also be helpful here.
