Guys,

I was upgrading my computer from integrated graphics to a Geforce 3 Ti 200. Following installing the card, I have plugged my monitor in, but I cant get an image up on the screen. However, it doesnt come up saying that there is no signal. It just displays an orange light near the on/off button as if the computer is turned off. Does anyone know why this is, and how i can get an image on my screen?

Regards

You have to go into the bios setup to disable the onboard video when installing an expansion card. Refer to the user manual on this if you are unfamiliar with the bios.

Once that is disabled and you have Windows up go into the device manager and look in the display adapters for the onboard there. You either go through the Control Panel>System>hardware tab or simply right click on the MyComputer desktop shortcut followed by the hardware tab. A simple right click on the onboard to choose the disable option in the right click menu is what is needed there.
