Monitors with Vista

Hey, I was just wondering what the go was with Vista and supporting older monitors. Will all monitors be supported by vista and so be able to go to their max res or what? Cos i currently enojoy my 21" CRT but its getting on it years and so i was hoping that i will still be able to use it when i upgrade to vista.

An operating system is independent of your visual medium of choice. Your ol' CRT will function fine.

Yeah, I second that, that's why I think it pretty useless to have a Vista certified sticker on a monitor =_=.

The Vista sticker is a marketing tool, like SLi stickers on RAM. You'll need a new monitor if you want to use a Blu-Ray or whatever drive in your box (you'll need HDCP compliance and a digital connection).

That's the only thing to my knowledge. Your CRT is fine.

SLi stickers on RAM. I have yet to see those around, but it is a rather strange place to put a SLi sticker.

I've heard of 'em.. Though i didn't know they put Vista certified stickers on monitors.. The DVD format thing makes sense, but it doesn't have to be that way if you just skip the drive, and download the movie... JK! Or not.
