monster cables on laptops

my friend told me he saw a website that monster cables that could be hoohked up to any laptop with s-video so that you could use the tv as a monitor. is this possible? i have a laptop with just an s-video out, compaq evo n610c. what would be the best way for me to hook up my laptop to my HD TV without getting a crapppy video?
 
yes, i think it is, i have a S-video on my my laptops 2, but i dont know how 2 use them, hopefully someone could answer this 4 us.
 
Monster cables are just majorly over priced regular cables. I've seen cables almost identical to them for next to nothing.

As for them having a "special" cable to go to the TV, there's nothing special about it. If your computer has TV-Out, you can purchase an S-Video cable and connect it to your TV. Now, maybe they have a cable that goes from S-Video to RCA(the typical yellow connection) but again, you can find it for much less than a "monster" cable.
 
i have an integrated ati radeon mobility 7500. is there a better way to connect to the tv so that i can get a better signal? because when i tried the s-video it looke really bad
