I dont think you can, although you can get fans that go on the bottom of the laptop, which can cool it better.

it's possible to put in more powerfull fans, all youd be doing is replaceing the old fan with a fan that has a higher cfm, making sure it is a laptop fan and can fit, but im not sure about putting more fans.

If you can get to them, then yes you can upgrade your fans (keeping the same dimension fan, of course). However, dismantling a laptop can sometimes be tricky and can void the warranty. Also more powerful fans will produce more noise (very few exceptions to this), so you might want to go the route of an external cooling pad if you haven't tried so already.

Well I was just wondering why would you want to? is it because you think it should cool more? The best thing I would do is probably do a bios update. The manufacturer should know if there should be a fix for something or not. Whether the fans should come on earlier or shift to a higher speed. Swapping out a fan would be difficult, reasons because finding one that would fit the chassis would be hard, then finding one that would fit the connector, and (depending on the system) see if it'll shift speeds the same way the original did. It's not worth swapping out the fan, if you didnt I highly recommend getting the same exact one to replace it.

go back to computerforum home page, click on a category, Desktop computers, laptops, etc. then there should be a box at the top and bottom of the page saying "New Thread". The rest is pretty much self explanitory.
