More FPS

was wondering if there is any way I can increase my FPS without getting a new video card. I got a 3.06 GhZ Pentium Processor, ATI Radeon HD 2600 HD agp video card and 2gbs of ram and while playing WoW today I was in a big battle and went down to 11 fps at some points. Is there anything I can do or is my computer just to old to continue.

Well for starters you can lower the resolution. That is the big one. Other than that you can OC your card with Rivatuner or similar program.

well, WoW works quite a bit on the CPU and RAM (as far as I noticed) and not so much on the grafics card. so, you could try overclockign your cpu a bit. (or add a bit more ram, if you dont have enough yet)

lower the texture settings and turn off shadows in WoW that should help a lot without making your icons massive like lowering the res would.

oh, 1 thing I forgot, go to the Catalyst Control Center (right mouseclick on the desktop) and disable Catalyst AI and Adaptive Anti Aliassing. (you can see those in the advanced view)
that helps a LOT to improve fps. (at least, it did for me)

Thanks alot I tried this I haven't seen any big results yet but I haven't played to much yet today. I lowered the texture settings too. I was wondering I don't really know anything about overclocking so I was wondering if someone could explain that to me. Also my resolution is only 1024 x 768

Whats your cpu temp during this? It being a p4 and all it gets pretty hot, make sure that ur fans are all clear and dont have dust cause if your cpu is overheating it could be throttling during all this.

I'm not positive but I think its 38C. Realtemp couldn't read my processor so i downloaded speed fan. I'm not positive but I think its 38C

in WoW there are also multiple options with the same resolution, but different multisampling ratings. put it on the 1x multisampling if it isnt there already. (tends to help a lot too:) )

When i try to raise my FPS, I always change the resolution to 1 step under mine (1024x768 for me) and raise all other options to max.
NFS carbon is just magnificent this way! :)
