MORE ic7 problems

This finally does it. I have had my board (rma'ed) less than a week ago and it's already broken again. Just last night for no reason my audio connection decided to crap out on me. Don't get me wrong, it still works, except now it's a constant humming along with the sound. I have checked the receiver and the speakers on another system and they work fine, no humming or any other background noise, cables are also fine too. If anyone knows what this problem might be (hardware/software) please do pass some advice my way.

P.S. Don't buy from Abit...........ever.
P.S.S. I have flashed the BIOS and it did nothing

Was the other puter in the same room? Could be interference from other random crap, my speakers started humming when I moved the wireless router too close to them

Yeah it's right next to it but it's not plugged in (nothing). The speakers and receiver and fine I know. I just find it odd that the audio port just died. I have no idea why and it's really starting to get me peaved. I just had the board RMA'ed last week for a faulty IDE controller.

Check all audio cables are not loose. Try muting all unused sources such as Mic in, Line in, CD in, Aux in (not master volume) and see if this stops the humming. You could also try setting the gain of the line out (or master volume) to the middle of its range instead of too high or too low and see if this makes a difference.

Already tried all that. What I need to know is if this is a problem that other people have encountered in other mobo's and how they solved it. (if they did)

Does the sound change when you wiggle the jack plug in the socket? If so the audio sockets may need resoldering.

What sound chipset do you have on your board? Some of the Creative Labs chips used to pick up motor noise from the optical drives. If the sound problems occur when the optical drive is accessing a disc you can try removing the audio lead to the "CD/Aux In" header and see if that makes a difference.

Ok, this is really confusing me now. I just hooked it up to the back audio again to see if it wanted to behave and it's working fine now. I have done nothing to change anything around the computer (placement of speakers, cables hooked to it, and the like). It just started working. I'm starting to think it might be a loose audio port, is that possible?
