More junk from Crytek and EA!

So there I was....walking through the local store and they had Crysis Warhead for $20. I told myself I would not buy it, but what the heck for $20...why not. Got home and installed everything fine without a problem. It comes with two disks one for single player and one for multi-player. I played the single player for about 20 minutes and realized it was the exact same game game as the original...absolutely nothing different! The boards were the same, the vehicles, the enemy...everything:mad: I knew there was only a few small changes but it's the same game.

I tried to play multi-player and and it would not let me log into my EA account. After about 10 tries I gave up and decided to create a new account. I made the new account and tried it again...still nothing.

I called EA games and talked to them for about 20 minutes for nothing. I am calling from Germany to the U.S.A. They told me to talk to Crytek. I called them and 25 minutes later the said it was an EA problem:confused: Each company would not take responsibility for anything. So....after 7 phone calls (that will cost about $80) both companies have no idea what the problem is.

So today I spent $100 on absolutely nothing!

I actually got mad and broke the CD and threw it in the trash:)

great,.. you knew Crysis warhead was pretty much the same as the original. yet you bought it, and now you're ranting because its the same.. I'm sorry, but am I missing a point here? :confused:
I mean, what kind of enemies were you expecting, pink hippo's with BB guns? they did add some vehicles tough, and some guns, and some enemies. but with people generalizing this game so much anyways, I suppose that doesnt matter.
 
dont worry im pretty sure everyone on the forum is as sick of crysis as you are although imo if you find a way to play it that suits you you'll find its alot more fun

Dunno I rather enjoyed it myself. There were a few stupid things in it...I thought the dual SMG was a rip off of Halo 2-3 and weak.

But least we got to play with new vehicles this time through. Though I borrowed my buddies copy vs buying it :D

Though they could have put singleplayer only on the box thats just lazy.

I also hate the fact EA forces their damn download manager on your PC that to me is BS if I wanted their pathetic software on my rig I would have installed it.
 
I sortta thought the same about Crysis Warhead. It wasn;t all that good. I expected that the story would go on from the first game. Now, knowing that it doesn't makes it sortta broing. Oh well, we'll see about the third Crysis.
 
so let me get this straight.... you knowingly spent 80 dollars trying to fix a 20 dollar game? id say the jokes on you then.

EA is laughing all the way to the bank
 
You should get skype. Much cheaper to call overseas. You can call most places for a cent or so a minute.
 
So I've been out of the video game realm for awhile now. Is Crysis not as good as everyone first thought? I heard Crysis was supposed to be the new "game of games" is this false?
 
lol as i was reading this i was thinking the whole time i wonder if i could by that game from him and then i read the end =[
 
Crysis is pretty looking and has decent gameplay but, I honestly feel that the main reason its had so much hype and been the subject of so many discussions is because it is so demanding of system specs and not because its a super stellar game..because its not.

Plus its kinda old now!

heck that's the only reason i want it so i can be like check out how good my computer is and shit

Same...

I actually just picked up a used copy for same reason...run tests and compare stuff..

I couldnt even tell you 2-3 weapons in the game...there are weapons right?

I get the same impression of the game. I borrowed a copy from a friend and played it for 20 minutes after doing the video stress test. I gave back the copy and don't have any desire to play.
