More than one pc?

can somebody tell me why anybody would need more than one pc?
because i see these pix of people with two or three pc?

Thats like saying "why anybody would need more than one car or TV"

I have 2 at home and 3 at work, One at home for gaming and normal stuff and a laptop to do stuff on the move.

some have desktop and laptop, always nice to have something a bit more mobile.

Also depends what you use systems for too, some for everyday use, others for serverse, running IRc nodes etc....

personally i have my main desktop for everyday use, laptop for work, another desktop in a different room running some.....stuff ;)

two downstairs, one is dads work computer and the other is the replacement for it i built that he hasnt swapped yet and finally a desktop in the wardrobe ready for the GF when she moves out of home :)

personally i have 2 i have one desktop i use for playing with it has vista on it and a vmware program that is running xp pro and server 2k3 and even linux all at one time and then i have my lap top for mobile reasons i can take it to school and use it at work and on the go if you are a computer person its kinda ab-normal to have only one pc lol

yea i do all my pcwork in my room i have both pc and laptop in there and soon a new box will be coming in as well to work on

yeah, but two or three in the same bedroom?

I have two in my computer room and one downstairs. The one downstairs is for my family so they will leave mine the hell alone. The two upstairs, I always test stuff on the other one before I load stuff on my main one!

main reason for me: siblings
i dont like them to mess up mine and put their games/pics on it
so they have a separate one

Well, they can serve different purposes. For instance, here in my office I have a workstation for my wife and one for me, a linux firewall box, a file server, a DNS/AD/DHCP server, a print server box and a laptop.

It all depends on what you are doing really.
