hey,

i have a compaq presario 2100 laptop with integrated graphics. i updated my drivers the other day, and before i did so my max video memory was 64mb, but since i downloaded the drivers, i can bump it up to 128mb. has this happened to anyone else? did i download the wrong driver? somehow this doesnt seem right that it would do that.

i also recently added a 512 stick of memory to my 256 original. could this be the cause? thanks for the help.

Just recheck the driver is correct. It doesnt seems riht o be able to change a setting, and add 64mb ram. Was 64mb ram the orriginal ram amount for video?

Im guessing this will be because you have integrated graphics...it shares your ram...now that you have more ram the computer can spare more for graphics. ;)

Maybe, but it might not do anything special. More video memory is unlikely to give huge benefits. Check your BIOS video settings just to be sure.
