More Voltage

ok there is a time when raising the fsb where the pc doesnt start up ... so i guess it needs more power.. so i found that option in bios and has 0.5 + and i can go 0.5 at a time...
so how mush shall i put for the first time ?
and what will happen if i put MORE voltage ? will i fry anything ? :s
