I don't know how many of you can help me, but I have a Wiflyer (www.wiflyer.com). It's a broadband/dial up router. I'm using dial up. When I attempt to sign on my ISP (AOL) the sign on fails.. saying error 28800 V42bis. I am recieving a signal and all appears to be fine. Possible solutions?

Thanks as always.

I just looked at the website, as to how this works... I am going to treat this like a Dial-up connection with a wireless router attached (thats all it seems to be).

-Plug a phone into the phone line and check for a dial tone.
-Manually call the same number the modem (router) is calling to check to see if you get a signal over the earpiece.
-Make sure your username and password are correct.. Meaning USER or [email protected] with your correct password in upper or lower case letter.

Also, has the connection worked before?

There is a dial tone, it dials fine. My password and username are correct. I just got this guy yesterday, so no it hasn't worked before. I get to the last stage of connection which is the "sign on" stage, after it's dialed the local access number and recieved response.
