Morrowind Problem

I am having some problems with morrowind. For those of you who have played the Elder Scrolls III know that you start out in the bottom of a ship. Then you name yourself and you follow a gaurd. He tells you to go up on deck and I do so. When I press Space to go out, the screen turns black and I have to turn off the power to restart. I can still hear the music, only its just stuck in between of loading with the moniter off. Why is this happening?

It was only $10 but still...

Does anyone know anything about this?

The screen tends to go black for me but if u give it some time to load you should end up on the deck of the ship. It tend to stay like that for a minuet or so. hope this helps

Yes I recall the pause too in that game. It seems to be more brief on my faster computer. It could either be a low grade video card, or your CPU is somewhere in the neighborhood of 800MHZ.

I did what Blue said and downloaded the newest patch and it now works. thx guys!
