i swapped out my motherboard and i want to keep all my programs on my hard drive. i used to have a program specially for this that made it very very easy but i lost it and i cant remember the name of it. all i can remember is that it started with s or it was s o somthing any help would be great

You should be able to just simply swap out the motherboard without any issues. I recently did this myself and I only had to uninstall the drivers then install the new ones.

Same here. Took HDD from i5 Gigabyte build to i7 1366 ASUS build, no problems. First boot failed, second boot work and the drivers updated through Windows 7.

ya ive been going nuts trying to find the name of that program. i upgraded from a asus k8u-x to a striker extreme , but i dont want to reinstall windows or delete all my files. i used to have a program for it i just cant remeber the name, ive spent countless hours searching for it.

If you uninstall the motherboard and chipset drivers in windows, you should jsut be able to pop in the new mobo and windows should load up and install the drivers for you.

should run windows update too.

well i would have done that but the motherboard i had on there fried so sadly:( i cant. thats y im tryin to find that program that i cant remember the name of.
