I plan on getting this board and a new HD that is SATA to run the OS off of and a DVD burner that is SATA.

Problem is I want to hook up 2 additional ATA HD to this same MB.ONe is a 500 GB and the other is 80Gg>I really don't want to hook up one as a external drive because of the lags in transferring data with USB plugs.

Most of the mother boards in this price range have only one spot for ATA devices. Will I be able to get some sort of cable that will support both of my ATA
HD???

2 IDE devices should be fine, as long as your cable supports 2 IDE devices. 3 or more would require extra slots.

If it doesn't come with an ide cable with 2 connectors (i don't see why it wouldn't), does the one from your current computer support 2 ide devices?. assuming you won't need it in you old computer, you can switch it with the one that comes with this new mobo.

Under the specs column it says it comes with a IdE/PATA cable. How would I know if has a additional cable on it for a second drive?

I Plan on keeping my current computer in its configuration for testing and R@D stuff so I don't want to mess with it.
