Hello all,
I have heard about PSUs being blamed for killing other components, but I think this time itwas the other way around. I was trying to reset the bios by moving one of those little jumper things and touched the mobo with some pliers, stupidly it was plugged in still and so there was a spark where I touched the mobo , and also a loud popping noise from the PSU which then began to smoke.
So if your PSU pops and smokes do you think its safe to assume that PSU is dead and unfixable?
Secondly I am wondering if there is any life left in the motherboard after the spark, or will it be faulty now? I am a bit afraid to try it with another PSU incase it damages the PSU, what do you think?
