motherboard and hard drive search

I have an HP mini netbook model 1035 that my daughter was using when
despite my repeated warning about glasses of liquids near them had a glass of
milk by it. Up jumps our cat, down goes the milk, under the unit whos' fan
promptly sucks it into the netbook. According to the tech who looked at it.
Mother board was fried. I need a board, can't find one that retail wouldn't be more then a new netbook. Any suggestions.
I also have a gateway mini netbook model KAV 60. It crashed the same time
the warranty did. Even though I had been complaining to Verizon Wireless for the whole year it was under warranty. It needs a hard drive.
Again any suggestions where I might locate this part too.
I went looking retail and on Geeks.com. Geeks didn't have any, The former
was a budget buster. My kids need to eat this week. Cat burger anyone?
 
eBay or Craigslist will probably have used ones of the same model, cheap.
Just swap the hard drive if it's the same model and it should work without having to transfer apps and files.

Edit; The replacement notebooks old hard drive should fit your Gateway, but you will probably have to install a new windows.
