Motherboard and Video Card

My Motherboards south bridge is being touch by the videocard when i put it in will this cause any probelms?

how is the video card touching the southbridge heatsink,the fat part of the video card is on the other side,the side of the video card that is near the southbridge should be flat and atleast a half inch away from it,could you take a pic.

The video card points down in thickness, so it covers the southbridge. It is strange that they would make the southbridge tall enough that it would touch a video card. If your good at working on hardware you could take the southbridge heatsink off and file it down. But that would void your warranty or get a refund on the board and get another brand/model.

The answer is no it wont cause problems. You could however put it in the other PCIe slot?
