Hi, I have a am2 slot micro atx mobo and its been beeping twice and doesnt show display. The bios is phoenix award and according to what that bios is saying when it beeps twice is that theres a display problem. I unplugged every thing from my mobo accept the power and wires to the power button and memory and it still beeps twice. That usually fixed the two beep problem before. Im about to give up and replace it but i just bought memory for it.

I will try usin vga straight onto the motherboard instead of the dvi that i have with my video card, its the only thing i can think about that i havent tried yet.Thanks.

run it with minumum components, one stick of memory, 1 hard drive, 1 dvd drive, if it has integrated graphics, run it on that.

If it boots fine, put components back in one at time until it doesn't work again.

At that point, take it back to basics and whatever made it go off, put that in and see if it boots. If it doesn't, you know that component is faulty, if it does, you know it is hardware conflict.

Hi, it turns out ot was infact a video problem. My last resort of trying a vga cable instead of dvi worked. I plugged it into the motherboard. Im still not sure if tis my video card that has a problem ot if its my pci 16x slot though. At least its booting wiht image though. Good thing because i had just bought 2x 1gb of memory for it and was planing on buying a cheap dual core 3.0ghz which I did today. Much cheaper than upgrading to a new am3 mobo and buying a am3 slot cpu. :)
