Motherboard choices.....

So i decided to to get a new case for my dell 8300, a new cpu hsf and a new mobo for the case. For the mobo im kinda stuck on whihc one to get..im lookin at the Abit IS7 and AI7, the Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000PRO-G or the msi
MS6728-110 which ive heard has problems with the north bridge hs hitting the cpu hsf. I mainly am an avid gamer do homework and online stuff on my comp and when im at school its always on. Any insight on what i should get..Oh btw i have a prescott 3.0ghz that i would like to overclock a decent amount and get full potential from the cpu. thanx in advance

if you buy a new mobo. you'll have to buy a new PSU to. unless you can find a adapter. because dell usus a own connector type ;)

The MSI is a really good board but there are some things to consider. This particular board does not have many "features" that other top end boards have. I have used many MSI boards and I love them but my Abit IC7-G is much better. I would suggest looking into the Abit and DFI boards or a Better MSI board. If you are still liking the MSI then don't be over concerned about the hsf issue as the staock hsf will be fine and there are a number of very good aftermarket hsf that use heat pipes and are raised above the northbridge hsf.
Check here for some good comparisons http://www.tomshardware.com/motherboard/20040712/index.html

I already got a new psu with my new case...and i was contemplating that abit AI7 it looks like the best outta the group and not much more expensive either.
