Motherboard for noob?? +soundcard

You should use a sound card seperately becuase it gives you audio codecs that the stock sound chipset on a motherboard does not give you.

I saw another post from you...are you trying to build a computer? What is you budget? Are you going to use parts from the old computer? What do you do with computers?

Okay then can I get a cheaper motherboard without a sound card and then just get a sound card seperatly? Is there a specific motherboard I should get?

motherboard- 145$
this is what I want right? comes with the sound card and everything?

That's a pretty expensive build :)

The motherboard that you are getting comes with a stock soundcard built into it. If you have a PCI Soundcard then you could put that in and it will work fine.

Everything else is good :D

before I forget is I wanted to put 2 of those ridiculous graphics cards in for some crazy reason and wanted it to the full potential what would the motherboard have to be I forget is it PCI Express x16 *2?? then I can put 2 in and use them to the max? in crossfire? Oh who am I kidding forget it what is the cheapest best board I can get and whats the best sound card I can get that will be compatible with sed motherboard. Because 145$ for a mobo seems a little overpriced since I'm not using crossfire or sli right? and i'm only using ddr2 800...

you can get that video card you wanted but on newegg they have Radeon 4850 to where you can run 2 at the same time and do a very decent at job for whatevr you throw at it. and you can get 4 sticks of 2 Gb ram for also a fraction of the price and the ones you posted wouldnt fully take advantage of the motherboard you posted. heres the links for the video card and ram i was talking about, just remember just because things are 400 dollars more doesnt mean they suffer on quality or speed, sometimes things are "overpriced" just because they're new and not necissarily worth spending a ton of more money for say stuff thats just a tad better.
Video card-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121272
Ram-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227298.
Depending on your budget i know you could get a better deal on a video card if you want to spend a little more for a better video card but the card you posted just seems a bit. . unreasonable, but the ram really is better, it runs faster and you can double the amount you wanted at a cheaper price

those 2 cards together = 340$ which would still only make 1 gig of video card memory while the x2 has 2 gigs. When you actually figure it out pound for pound I come to the conclusion that the x2 really isn't overpriced or maybye I'm just confused... Is their really that big of a diff from 800 vs 1066 ram?

oh wow i dunno what happened there i guess i saw the ram you put up as a totally different price ha my bad but i mean the motherboard you posted can handle either types of ram, the ones you posted and the ones that i did. its just that the ones i found which are the ones im gonna be using for my new build soon, just run quicker, but you can do whatever you want ha. And i wasnt sayin the video card you picked up sucks balls or anything it seems like there might be a better deal somewhere else on newegg, ill try to find it, im gettin real curious ha, oh here ya go saved ya 50 bucks on the same card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814103066

actually that's still the same price. I am having a dilema I'm looking at like a whole bunch diff mobos and the cheap ones have scary reviews.

I know my one computer has a soundblaster card and it sounds SOOOOO much better then my computer with the mobo sound card and I used the same speakers! I was wondering is there any motherboards that have a really good sound card built in or should I just get a seperate sound card??

I am pretty new to this

I am thinking of getting this
