Motherboard Gone?

Hey guys,

A couple of weeks ago my monitor started acting funny producing really weird yellow lines etc. Then it seemed like my motherboard gave out completely, the POST would not beep and all that span was my PSU fan, CPU Fan & GFX fan.

Just now I turned it on after re-seating my GFX Card & RAM and now I got 1 long beep and 2 short beeps on the POST. (I have an ASUS P5P800 by the way)

I was told that meant my GFX Card has failed, so if that is the case I am willing to buy another one, but I need some opinions just in case it is my motherboard that is gone, although I'm sure my motherboard has to be working to provide me with POST beeps.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that beep's for the video card. Try removing it, powering it, shutting back down, and reseating it. My mobo once didn't detect my video card until I did that.

Only problem is, is that it doesn't explain why my computer just suddenly died like that which is why I am lead to believe my mobo may be dead. But then like I said could it make POST beeps if it was blown.

I'm gonna try re-seating again now.
