hi, ive got the Asus P5LD2 Motherboard, and want to replace it with the gigabyte SKT-AM3+ 970A-D3 Motherboard. Will they fit in the same case??

As long as you have a mid-tower or larger it'll fit fine.

As long as you're not running a Micro-ATX board in a micro-ATX case they'll fit. All ATX boards are the same shape, yes.

was wondering if you buy a certain motherboard if you have to buy the rest to match or is everything compatible. I want the pc for memory, photo edits web access music anyone have any idea's on what would be best to buy and what tower unit. Not expensive tho. Thanks

When you buy a motherboard, you have to buy memory and cpu that matches your board,were you get the board usually tells you what stuff it uses or you may have to read a manual on the board.
