Hey :)

I'm going to be building 2 computers of near enough exactly the same spec but i need help on motherboards lol

I need a motherboard that has an Intel chipset, will support P4 3ghz + chips, Has an AGP X8 Slot, Can support 2 Gig of Ram and (the most important thing) has quite a few PCI slot(id say about 5/6ish).

My dad and i have used a QDI motherboard with intel chipset in each of our computers (and they are about 4 years old but still do the job lol) and they seem to last forever! So if possible is there any QDI boards you would recommend.

I have looked at this one and wanted to know if its any good

QDI P4I875P

I have also tried an Asrock board in my "Super" computer but that does nothing but crash all the time so preferably not those lol

Also nothing to expensive(im talking about £100+)

If anyone can help that would be great!

Many thanks

Joe

Hi Again,

Ok im gonner need some serious help

I have obviously been out of touch with computer hardware (motherboards/CPUs/Cases) for a while.

I see the motherboard i was looking at is for P4 northbridge CPU's and seeing as P4 Prescott seems to be the one around at the moment im going to have to look at that.

I have been looking at ther Socket 775 motherboards and have found a few but nothing that has enough PCI slots and i need a reliable make aswell.

If you could also give me a hand on a case that would fit a motherboard like that (as i have read the article on cases and see there are ATX, mATX etc) that would be great :)

Many thanks
Joe
