Motherboard Help

How can I figure out what type of motherboards will run on my computer? I mean I have a crappy Dimesion E310 with only 3 PCI slots and no PCI-E slots or AGP slots. This sucks because I've been wanting to get a good graphics card but can't.

You won't be able to replace your motherboard unless you buy a different case. Dell computers come with proprietary connections for the front of the case and power switch. If you were to just replace the motherboard, you wouldn't be able to connect any case wires.

The product information found points at this model having a mid tower case as seen at http://www1.bottomdollar.com/search_techspecs_full.php/masterid=17849150

According to the information there this is supposed to be a customizable model but look at the rear of the case itself for slots(AGP - PCI-E). If the slots are available a standard atx board should go right in. Your main problem after that would be the current power supply if a larger model was needed. You would have to "buy from Dell" most likely since they have a habit of customizing the holes for the mounting screws on their supplies just so you have to buy replacement parts from them.
