Is there any way to find out specs on a motherboard from an old computer? It came out of a compaq. Here are all the numbers on it I found:

SP# 123511-001
P1C740RDAJX0EW
DW# 010010
AS# 010009-101
CT" L27290A6JJ05VM

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Download CPU-Z, it tells you what mobo you have. It's so much easier to use a program to get all the info for you, rather than hunting serials & product numbers and googling them ;)

Oh... what do you need the specs for anyway? Google "Compaq 010009-101" and "Compaq 123511-001" gave heaps of results on Compaq motherboards... I had look through some. Apparently it takes slot 1 CPUs and... well, that's all I had time for. But do a Google search and see what comes up.

what is the modle number on the front of the case?? thats wher the modle # is on all my compaqs. google your modle # specs and should be able to find it. or go to the hp site and type your # in and the mobo will be discontinued but it will tell you, then search for a replace ment once you know what you need
