Motherboard memory issue?

im considering purchasing this motherboard..ASUS A8N-E ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail at Newegg.com

its dual channel supported however i have 3 sticks of single channel ram (a 512mb and 2x 256 mb = 1 gig) i understand dual channel ram will benefit me more however its not in my budget at the moment with all the new stuff im ordering. My question is willt hat motherboard recognize my full gig of ram or just 768 mbs of it?

If they are all the same type and speed despite the size difference of one the board should reaily recognise the total amount. If you have problems booting the system then you know that one or more is not able to run on that model board where dual not single sided dimms are required.
