motherboard memory problems

ok my friend has an ASUS M2N-E SLI ...he Bought a new 65 nm 6000+ and flashed his bios to make his motherboard take his cpu.. now when he trys to put over 3 gigs of memory it will just beep and not boot...hes tried two differant sets of ram and was running 4 gigs before the cpu and flash what should we do? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131096

Check the RAM manufacturer website for voltage and timings. These are something that must be manually set in the BIOS. Many models of Asus motherboards don't like all 4 DIMM slots filled with RAM, why...I don't know. If you look on the Asus forum it's everywhere. Set the voltage, clock cycle (1T or 2T) and timings (to include extended timings if possible) I have used many Asus motherboards and those steps are necessary to get everything nice and stable. have him give it a shot and see what happens.

rolled back the bios works fine with 8 gigs...thanks for the imput scout
