Hi all, I need some help deciding here
My aunt's computer shot down to never boot up again. w/o an apparent reason
the mobo is an intel d845epi/d845gvsr socket mpGA478b (478?)
no beeps, no post screen or anything.
the mobo green(i think) led lights up when the PSU is on
CPU fan moved the first time I tried to turn it on but that was the las time it moved.
I tried a different PSU that works and the same thing. (nothing)
I can't test the CPU on a different computer because I dont know anybody with that socket. It doesn't seem to be burnt or anything..
Should I buy a new motherboard or a CPU..?
thanks in advance
EDit: I read in another post about someone's CPU that fried, and the mobo would boot up and then immediately power off , is that possible? is that a good way to check if it is the CPU instead of the mobo? If it is the CPU and not the mobo should it try to boot up and then power off? thanks again.
