well, im building a new computer and im kind of new to this (this is the first computer i've built) and i was hooking up the wires that are attached to the front of the case (USB, Power button, etc.) and the plug for the power button has 2 holes in it and the motherboard has 1 pin for the power button. im not too sure what to do. i have the +pled and the -pled (which are both 1 pin) next to each other and then there's 1 pin labeled PWRBTN but the cable is 2 pins and is labeled power sw. im almost positive that means power switch and because it has 2 pins, it goes into the next one also which is labeled grn. what do i do??

What motherboard brand and model do you have?

All the connections will be 2-3 pins. None are just 1 pin, as you need atleast power and a ground to make anything work!

OK. Good choice BTW!

Alright, the power panel has 9 pins....4 on top, 5 on the bottom. The one on the bottom far right side is NOT used at all, so lets start at the top right. The top right side 2 pins are for the on/off power. Directly below that goes the reset (which leaves two pins to the left and 1 pin to the right). To the left of the reset goes the Hard drive activity LED. And above that goes the power light. Now, sometimes the power LED from the case connection is a 3 pin, in which case directely above the power panel is a 3 pin header to plug it into. But if your power LED connector is a 2 pin, just plug it in the main panel there beside the on/off power connector.
