Motherboard price going up, up, up.

I'm looking at the ASUS MAXIMUS FORMULA for my upcoming build and it used to be $279 (maybe it was $269, I can't remember) a few weeks ago, and then it wen't up to $300 a few days ago, now its $310!.

What's going on here? Anyone have any ideas? (At first I was thinking supply & demand...but it's not that highly demanded board is it?)

The maximus is overpriced in my opinion, its the same board without some of the "bells and whistles".. this is probably going to be my pick for the price

Yeah, it's probably low stock or something, or maybe you saw it when it was on sale.

^^ Yeah I noticed that that one is almost exactly the same...what is the difference anyways? All I could find that was different was that one had "SE" in the name (Special Edition).

Also, does it support DDR3? It doesn't look like it..

And there isn't real difference except that one is neutral, while the other one is just crossfire ready
