motherboard problem?

I recentally purchased a new motherboard, new CPU and new memory. I put my old harddrive in that had windows XP on it and when I started it up it said "Error Loading Operating System". Why is this happening?! Is something wrong with my motherboard? Should I update my BIOS? Please help.

Motherboard: NFORCE3-A
CPU: AMD Athlon 3000+
Memory: PNY Ultra 512 MB
Hard Drive: Maxtor 60 Gig

you have to reinstall windows.
your old motherboard has a other chipset as your new one, so windows doesnt reqognize it.
