motherboard question

hi guys, for server motherboard it has 2 cpu chips right? if that's the case, i wanna ask if the speed is equal to the speed of a duo core processor?

some have two, some only have one, some have four, I think there might even be some with eight. As far as comparing one to a dual core, two processors with single cores would most likely still be better, besides you could get two dual core processors or something probably

two processors with single cores don't work as well as single dual cores like x2 series...

otherwise people would be buying those opteron socket 940s like crazy...

the server computers have many cores, but for a desktop, i don't think it helps..

i believe there are only 1~2 people on this forum have socket 940...
that almost proves that it is not that great

the price wise, unless you get a high end opteron socket 940, its not too expencive,
just like fx 60 cost more than $1000

if i were you, i'd get x2 3800

well we're obviously talking about servers here. And people aren't "buying opterons like crazy" because of the price and what they are meant for, servers.
