Motherboard questions

I'll probably post more specs on my old PC later, but I just had a couple of questions to get some opinions since I'm a noob.

1) Would I be saving money if I buy a motherboard with RAM included? So far, I see some of the newer Pentium dual-core combos (Asus 2.8GHz, 1MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB, 256MB memory) for about $300. (including shipping)

2) Does anyone know of good comparison Web sites (or obscure, reliable retailers) for parts like motherboards and RAM?

Thanks - I'm not too familiar with computer terms, so try to dumb it for me. :)
 
1) That price seems pretty good, but of course you didn't state what model motherboard or more importantly, the speed of the memory. Plus, 256M is nothing today. You'd probably want two sticks of 512M so you could run in duel channel...
