Motherboard recommendation

I'm confuse about what i should get as motherboard, need to have both SATA and IDE connectors, able to take 4Gig or Ram and either AMD or Intel QuadCore CPU.

Any suggestions ?
 
wrong place but for intel depends what u want to spend cheaper get a P35 board a bit more $$$ get a X38 board
an for AMD get a 790 or 770 board

If you're going for game and video performance, try the nforce 680i lt sli. It handles up to 8 gigs of ddr2 at 800mhz, can take the quad core (can handle the quad core extreme actually), two nvidia gpu's, has 1 ide port and 4 sata ports, and is supposed to be good for overclocking. Even if you're not going to used 8gb of ram and 2 gpu's, the price isn't bad and you can upgrade to a faster cpu, more ram and a second video card in a year or two without having to get a new motherboard. That's my plan at least.
I bought one and I should be receiving it today. I can't tell you personally how well it works, but check out this price and also a video on tiger direct.com. That'll tell you all you need to know about it.

Dear dear...

Can it take a QX9650? No. E8400? No. And 45nm processor? No. Is 45nm the future? Yes.

a second video card in a year or two without having to get a new motherboard. That's my plan at least.

2x GFX usually equals = Bigger PSU, and more expensive than just getting a better card that's cheaper and still smokes the 2 in SLi.
