Motherboard Renewal

What are the problems associated with replacing a motherboard on a system. I am going for a full system upgrade and thought the motherboard would be the place to start.

Is it as simple as taking the old one out any plugging everything back in or do ypu have to change bios settings?

Also what do i need to look for in a motherboard other than ram slots and cpu compatibility?

The bios is part of the motherboard. If you change your motherboard, you are also changing the Bios.

Only problem you have to watch out for is compatibility. will the new motherboard be compatible with all the hardware you have in your computer now.
