Motherboard slowing RAM down

The RAM that I am planning on purchasing for my upcoming build runs at 1000mhz but on the motherboard's website (found here) it says that the Mobo supports 800mhz or 1066mhz RAM.

Will I be ok using 1000mhz RAM? I'm assuming it'll just slow the RAM down to 800mhz, is there any way to get around this? I mean is there any way to make the ram run at its "normal" (is "native" a better word?) speed?

Could someone explain to me what exactly is going to happen here?

If I can't get the RAM I listed above, I have no problem ordering something like this. (Times two, so that I could get a total of 4 gigs)

The information seen at Asus there is 1200/1066 not 1066/800 for the memory standard. What memory are you looking at?

Okay, but will the original RAM I selected work? (The G. Skill 240-Pin DDR2 1000mhz?

Also, if the original ram I posted (above, and in original post) will not work, then I would rather get This Ram than the RAM you posted, as this is cheaper.
 
While I appreciate the replies, you're not really answering my question.

Will the G. Skill DDR2 (2X2GB) 1000mhz RAM be slowed down to 800mhz by the mobo.

Also, is it just better to get the Kingston DDR2 (2X1GB) 1066mhz ram so that it will run natively at 1066mhz?

Note: If I purchase the Kingston RAM, I will purchase packages so that I will have a total of 4 Gb.
 
The DDR2 1000 RAM is not on your compatibility list so I don't know if the G. Skill memory would back clock or not once installed. If PC eye recommends the previous Kingston Hyper-X PC2-8500 you were talking about I would go with it. It looks like a good price as well for high performance Double Data Rate 2 memory.

Okay thanks, would I be able to run it in 1T? (isn't that what dual channel is? having 4 dimms and still running at 1T?)
 
If you run the 1066 memory that would see 1066 on a board that supports 1200/1066mhz. If the board takes 800mhz memory then the 1ghz memory could run at 1ghz or step down to 800 if compatible like it should being 240pin DDR2
