hi guys i was wondering if someone could help I purchased a laptop 13months ago and after 3 month had to go back for repair wasn't any fault of mine now to the real question the laptop had died again on me after only 13 months and have been told i need to prove a product defualt now would you expect a motherboard to give up after 13 months it has been well cared for never droped or anything like that any in put would be grate thanks in advance mippin
 
All I can say is hardware can go out. Treat something like crap and it last for ever. Take care of something and have all kinds of trouble. It happens.
 
Laptops are pretty much luck of the draw. You can get one that last for years in harsh treatment, or you can get one that last a month with no damage at all.

I know from my experience, that the Dell business line, and Thinkpad line tend to like the harsh treatment side better. My D630 has been dropped/knocked off the desk several times and the only real damage it has done is broke the hard drive bay door. The M90 line is practically all magnesium particularly to prevent damage like this.
