does anyone have any idea how to find out what cpu will fit your motherboard I am looking at asus motherboards.

Depends on chipset, show us a link to the board your looking at..

Also, if your a gamer, an Intel Z170 chipset board would be a great choice..

What are your needs and usage like.?> Do you already have parts? or is this a new build, that will affect things too

If you go to the manufacturer's website for certain boards they will have a supported CPU list.
