Mounting harddrives

somwhere I ready its not good to mount your hardrive horizontally?

its better to mount in vertically?

if thats the case, then why when i bought my 40 cheapo case all the cases that I saw are for horizontal mounting?

i don't believe it makes a noticeable difference... in the computer in my sig, the drive is mounted vertically and in others i own, they are mounted horizontally... i have never had a hard drive "go out" on me... i would guess that it doesn't make a difference
